Award-winning singer and actor Cheyenne Jackson will perform songs from the "Mad Men" era and the Great American Songbook. Co-composed by American Chris Brubeck and Frenchman Guillaume Saint-James, this piece brings together two continents and the world of jazz and symphonic music.

A joint commission by the Orchestra of Bretagne, the French Ministry of Culture, Sinfonia Gulf Coast and the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the piece features jazz band with orchestra, melding the musical ideas of two countries to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

The Co-Commission and U.S. Premiere of Brothers in Arts: 70 Years of Liberty, was generously underwritten by a grant to Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Demetrius Fuller, Music & Artistic Director, from the Dugas Family Foundation.

Additional works on the program are W.A. Mozart’s “Overture to the Marriage of Figaro,” from the opera of the same name and the brilliant orchestral suite from “The Firebird” by Igor Stravinsky. is Igor Stravinsky's majestic suite from "The Firebird."
