The Sinfonia Youth Orchestra (SYO) program is the premier training orchestra in Northwest Florida and consists of more than 60 students who participate in a variety of ensembles that perform throughout the school year.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast Youth Orchestras’ mission is to provide the highest quality youth orchestra experience to students living in Northwest Florida. The orchestra program strives to create a culture of community, collaboration, and cultivation by ensuring that each member has an empowering musical experience through participation in the orchestras.

  • SYO seniors have the opportunity to apply for the GRACE FULCHER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, named for Grace, a Niceville student violinist and member of the SYO for many years. 
  • SYO members get to PERFORM in high-caliber Sinfonia Gulf Coast events featuring A-LIST performers like Patti Labelle, Kristin Chenoweth and Bernadette Peters and partnership events hosted by high profile guests such as CELEBRITY chef Emeril Lagasse.
  • SYO membership is a great VALUE. The program offers convenient payment plans as well as need-based scholarships. 
  • Knowing students keep busy during the school week, SYO rehearsals are CONVENIENTLY scheduled on Sunday afternoons. 
  • SYO members receive FREE TICKETS to each Sinfonia Gulf Coast main season concerts.
  • SYO members enjoy time CONNECTING with like-minded fellow musicians in a safe, collaborative, welcoming environment. 
  • We are called “Funfonia” because we put the “FUN” in Symphony. Outside of regular rehearsals, SYO members are enjoy several social events each semester.
